ABOUT
STPI
SOFTWARE
TECHNOLOGY PARKS OF INDIA (STPI) is a Scientific Society set-up in 1991 by
the erstwhile Department of Electronics, now Department of
Information Technology under Ministry of Communication and Information
Technology, Government of India to promote and facilitate Software
Exports from India.
Introduction
The
Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is a society established
by the Department of Electronics (Now Ministry of Information
Technology), Government of India. The society is registered under
the Society Registration Act 1860. The Software Technology Park (STP)
Scheme is set up by the Government of India to provide as impetus to
the Software Exporters of the country. The scheme is administered by
the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India through
the Directors of respective Software Technology Parks setup at
various locations in India.
Mandate

Software Technology Parks of India's Mandate is to Provide

STPI offers various value added services like incubation facilities,
video conferencing facilities etc.
Also,
STPI is extending the assistance of entrepreneurs in the promotion
of their products /services specially in the US market through its
own office in the Silicon Valley.
